Recycling for a cleaner world

What most people don't realise is that to make just one new computer requires at least 10 times its weight in fossil fuels and 22kg of poisonous chemicals such as arsenic, mercury and lead.

The PC you are using right now contains ingredients such as copper, gold and silver that can be recovered and reused. But the process of recovering these materials is potentially lethal.

All too often this toxic techo-trash ends up in landfill waste sites or is diverted to developing countries where untrained workers, even children, use methods such as acid baths to strip metals from the circuit boards - endangering their lives and the environment.

Helping communities get online

Most of the equipment we collect is reusable and is refurbished in a secure Microsoft Approved Refurbishment Centre , involving a complete data wipe. Your redundant equipment is then given an extended life in those parts of the community that previously struggled to afford access to ICT. We only work with carefully selected, expert recyclers in the UK.
