At 3tc, we use the latest Content Management Systems (CMS) websites. They are truly versatile, allowing you to make text changes or upload images quickly via a familiar ‘Microsoft Word’ style interface. Our standard packages use layout styles from set templates, but we also offer bespoke designs. Extra features can easily be added to the standard package, either now or in the future. We ensure that the website you get is uniquely tailored to your organisation and its needs.

3tc's CMS of choice is in essence a complete software package in its own right. Our developer will configure this to your individual requirements. This forms the 'back-end' of the site that you will be able to use to administer it. The back-end also provides a link to a sophisticated SQL database (that you do not need to see or learn) as well as the 'front-end' (essentially the sites web pages - the content of which are drawn seamlessly from the said SQL database).

The main advantages are you will be able to update page content yourself either via the back-end or the front-end without the need for any specialist web-authoring skills. All this is done using a simple Microsoft Word-style interface. Edits and new content can be added from any computer with an internet connection and browser e.g. in work, at home or even abroad!

Where CMS's really come into their own is that they can handle dynamic, interactive tasks automatically e.g. such as registering users, that to hand-code can cost thousands of pounds. With our proposed CMS solution it is possible to have a super-administrator running the overall site, then by using permissions have another set of users such as editors who can be given publishing rights, right the way down to users who are allowed to send in content which does not appear until it has been checked and approved by the editors. This system enables a range of people to provide web content, and indeed you can have different types of content as well e.g. some that appears to all visitors to the website and others that only appears to registered users. Alternatively a single user can be granted administrator status and simply add, edit or delete content whenever they want.

The CMS is also modular so if you want to add, for example, a user forum later on this can be done without necessitating a fundamental re-design of the whole site.
